#MFW: Bottega Veneta Spring/Summer 2017 Men’s and Women’s Bags Report

In celebration of their 50th Anniversary, Bottega Veneta held its first ever joint Men’s and Women’s runway show in the hallways  at the Accademia di Belle Art di Brera (The Brera Art Academy) in Milan. Bottega also revived 15 bags from the archives, including the intrecciato clutch Lauren Hutton was carrying in the film American Gigolo. And to refresh the audience’s memory, the actress herself walked the Bottega runway with that very same clutch, and at the end of the show, she walked arm in arm with Gigi Hadid. 15 new bag styles were also presented along with the archival pieces. Now, feast your eyes!

First up, the men’s bags!

“This collection marks the 50th anniversary of Bottega Veneta. I wanted to celebrate by staying to the ideas of private luxury that are all about the experience of whoever owns our clothes, bags, shoes, jewellery, everything” — Tomas Maier, Creative Director —

And right at the end, Creative Director Tomas Maier and his team walked the entire runway, shaking hands with familiar faces in the audience along the way.
