Bottega Veneta’s City Knot Bag
Today, I introduce you to the City Knot Bag by Bottega Veneta, released as one of the key bags that are part of the current Spring/Summer 2017 collection. Since it was already in-stores early this year, you possibly may not, or may already have seen in the Bottega boutiques. I have to say though, that though I’m not particularly a fan of structured bags in general, I absolutely LOVE the Knot clutches which Creative Director Tomas Maier introduced in 2001. So I guess in terms of the City Knot and the way in which it incorporates the Knot as a turnlock clasp, so that it’s positioned front and centre of the bag, my opinion towards this piece may be a little bit biased.
The City Knot bag in Moss Green and White above, are from the Early-Fall 2017 collection, while the Brown is from Spring/Summer 17. However, though the City Knot was also introduced as part of the House’s 50th Anniversary Collection, it’s unlikely that it’s a seasonal offering because they were also included in the Early Fall 2017 and Cruise 2018 collections. I’m guessing that this could very well be a new Classic style.
You know, I’m actually hoping that this would sprout an entire extended Knot family. Who else loves the Knot?
