#PFW: Miu Miu’s Spring/Summer 2017 Runway and Bags Report

Miu Miu presented a collection with a distinct swim/beach theme for Spring/Summer 2017.  The collection was primarily made of beach-ready swimwear, with only a handful of separates that are wearable if you weren’t going to the pool. 3D floral swim caps, beach towels, bathrobes and floral jelly slippers dominated, and prints were of the 60s and 70s variety. In fact, the floral ones kind of reminded me of the TV sitcom, That 70s Show.

Although the printed canvas totes with the cut-out handles were the main bag of the season, and for good reason due to the beachy theme, I was instead drawn to the structured leather bags with the chunky turnlock hardware (first and second bag photos above).  Oh, and the snakeskin bags with the jewelled star clasp reminds me a little of a Sheriff’s badge, but nonetheless, I still like it in the blue, lol.
