Montblanc TimeWalker Urban Speed e-Strap

The time has come for luxury wearable smart technology! Montblanc has just released its latest TimeWalker Urban Speed e-Strap, being the first luxury brand to do so with fine Swiss watchmaking.

Decked in a pure black face, the avant-garde design is further accentuated with minimal red elements, giving it that distinctive urban sporty look, blending perfectly with the brilliant usage of contemporary materials. On the underside, the automatic mechanical calibre is shown through a clear face.

The e-Strap DeviceConnectable via Bluetooth Low Energy (to selected Android & iOS smartphones) with an in-built touch display, the e-Strap Device comes with multiple functions such as:

•  an activity tracker: this enables the wearer to monitor their daily physical activities with  calorie counts, steps completed and distance travelled to target their personal goals. It also vibrates unobtrusively to remind the wearer to stay active.

• smart notifications: notifications of messages, emails, reminders and incoming calls and social media updates are alerted by vibrations.

• remote control: this can be used to control the smartphone camera and the playback of music.

•  Find-Me function: within 30m it is able to find the watch or the smartphone with this application.

Encased in a rubberized stainless steel case, the e-Strap device is easily mounted onto the pass-through strap. Charging once in 5 days is enabled via a standard micro-USB cable, depending on usage and is compatible with Samsung Galaxy S4, S5, Note 3, Note 4, selected Android Devices running Android 4.3 and upwards as well as Apple iPhone 4S, 5, 5C, 5S, 6 and 6 plus.

E-Strap Device

The e-StrapThe e-Strap, an interchangeable Nato-styled Extreme Leather strap with a carbon-look texture incorporates the e-Strap device. This cutting-edge pass-through strap has an upper surface of textured leather, fused with an innovative treatment that coats and provides structural integrity to the wristband to achieve the carbon-fibre look. Simultaneously, this procedure adds abrasion, heat, water, and fire resistance to it. The e-Strap device is adjustable with all pass-through straps of 20/22mm sizes.
Available in stores in June 2015, the mechanically automated TimeWalker Urban Speed e-Strap will come in three models: a chronograph, a UTC (United Time Coordinated) with a second time zone and a three hands watch with date in cases of 42mm or 43mm.
