Watches Wednesday: IWC Debuts New Women’s Portofino Models With A Campaign
IWC‘s new brand ambassadors, model Josephine Skriver and actress Ning Chang introduce us to the latest Portofino 34mm line for women, in this ad campaign.
Shot on location on the Italian Riviera on the very island of Portofino itself, the campaign shows Skriver and Chang, armed (hehe see what I did here?) with their favourite Portofino 34mm timepieces (currently the smallest for IWC so far!), having the time of their lives on vacay. From dipping their toes in the sea and taking a boat, to picking their favourite gelato flavours and riding in a vintage car, this easy-breezy, yet glamorous vibe is certainly a reflection of the Maison’s classy and casual Portofino collection.
This year’s latest additions come with a brand-new easy-to-use strap change system, so you can easily switch up the straps to go with your outfit. You’ll be spoilt for choice with the 13 colour options such as grey, light grey, black, blue, dark brown, bronze, orange, burgundy, raspberry pink, aubergine, green and indigo blue, crafted by Italian leather goods maker Santoni. But if leather isn’t quite your jam, a Milanese stainless steel mesh bracelet (see photo below) is also available.
We wanted the new campaign to be light-hearted and fresh. The watches are elegant and modern as ever, and Josephine and Ning Chang are great representatives for this ethos. We are pleased to have them both on board as brand ambassadors. The timepieces have landed in IWC boutiques in authorised retailers in China and Hong Kong. For the rest of the world, they will be dropping in IWC boutiques from October 2019 onwards.
