Watches Wednesday: Franck Muller’s 15th Anniversary Crazy Hours Asia Exclusive

When it comes to luxury timepieces, complications are one of the key elements that matter to collectors. Although I’m no connoisseur nor collector, I’ve always appreciated and admired Franck Muller’s revolutionary Crazy Hours complication that made its debut 15 years ago in 2003.

Its namesake, “Crazy Hours” is rather befitting, because one look at the watch’s dial, and you’d realise that the numbers are not arranged in their usual chronological clockwise order. And, for someone who isn’t used to the seemingly random positioning of the numbers, you’d find yourself frantically trying to locate the hour hand, in order to be able to tell the time. To me, this is why the intricacy and complexity of this complication, is unparalleled.
