Casio has released the G-SHOCK 35th Anniversary Commemorative Model, the Magma Ocean Collection, including a special model to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of FROGMAN. Comprising a total of 3 models in celebration of G-SHOCk’s 35th Anniversary (whoa how time flies!), it’s christened as the Magma collection because of its colour palette, particularly the use of red and black (which is a tribute to the brand’s signature colour). As with any special edition, the timepieces are made special, with the addition of brilliant rose, and yellow gold colour accents, for that touch of luxury. And, since all of these models are part of the 35th Anniversary collection, you’d not only find the case back engraved with the 35th Anniversary logo (see top right corner in the above image), but also come with special commemorative packaging.

The 3 models that make up the collection are the MTG-B1000, which utilises both metal and resin (middle in photo), the almost indestructible RANGEMAN GPR-B1000 (left in photo),and the ever-evolving diver’s watch, the FROGMAN GWF-1000 (right in photo), which made its debut in 1993.  And, because it’s also the FROGMAN’s 25th Anniversary, you’d notice the familiar stylised frog icon throughout the GWF-1035F, with some of them more visible than others. Remember the game of Hidden Mickey embedded in all Disney cartoons that we used to find so intriguing? Well, this time around, you can play spot the frogman with this one. 😉

The Magma Collection is currently available at all G-Factory stores nationwide, and retails for RM 5,149 (RANGEMAN GPR-B1000TF-1DR), RM 5,399 (MTG-B1000TF-1A), and RM3,149 (FROGMAN GWF-1035F-1), respectively.
