Due to the cancellation of the annual watchmaking fair Watches and Wonders (previously known as Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, or SIHH) because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cartier will be debuting this year’s watchmaking novelties on a new dedicated digital platform entitled Cartier Watchmaking Encounters this Saturday, April 25th.

On the website, all visitors will be able to discover the Maison’s cult watch, the Pasha, which was introduced in 1985. This year sees an entirely new interpretation. Keeping to its iconic “square in a circle” design with oversized Arabic numerous, the 2020 edition features a screw-down crown cap attached to the case by a small chain; a distinctive feature that commands attention.

Other novelties for 2020 include the Santos XL, a set of engraved and limited edition of the Santos-Dumont, a new ladies watch, the Maillon, and a Tank Asymétrique – all of which are part of the exclusive Cartier Privé collection. The website will also showcase an exclusive collection of precious jewellery watches.

In the current context, we believe it is important to preserve our interactions with all our clients around the world through various touchpoint, and thus be able to offer them an experience entirely dedicated to our Maison’s watchmaking creations. The launch of Cartier Watchmaking Encounters is fully integrated in this approach.
