Watches Wednesday: Bulgari’s 2021 Aluminium GMT
Bulgari‘s Aluminium GMT is a watch that needs no introduction. In the 1990s, it was the first ever luxury watch to be made out of aluminium and topped by a rubber bezel, and because of this, earned its cult status.
The Aluminium GMT, a reworked version of the Aluminium UTC, preserves several distinctive characteristics of its predecessor (including the aluminium case, blue bezel, and rubber strap with aluminium links) but at the same time, updated with a few additions including a 24 hour outer scale of the dial, which is divided into 2 different coloured zones of 12 hours each, to enable the wearer to differentiate between day and night, by simply adjusting the crown. This dual timezone watch shows both the home time and local time, with the arrow-head red tipped hand, indicating the local time on the 24 hour scale on the dial.
Powered by the B192 Calibre mechanical movement with automatic winding, with a 42-hour power reserve and Super-LumiNOva® hands and markers, this new sporty and yet functional 40mm Alumium GMT will be the perfect companion to accompany you on all your travels when travel bans are lifted!
Dropping into Bulgari boutiques globally next month.
