Watches Wednesday: Audemars Piguet’s Limited Edition Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon GMT Southeast Asia Exclusive
Audemars Piguet has launched a Limited Edition Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon GMT in sandblasted 18-carat pink gold and grey ceramic. Exclusive to Southeast Asia, this concept timepiece, like all tourbillons, comes with an open-worked design with redesigned bridges in shades of grey to showcase the magnificent flying tourbillon complication, positioned at 9 o’clock. The iconic octagonal Royal Oak bezel in grey ceramic encircles the dial and the three-dimensional pink cold case, hands, and crown, are in line with what seems to be the theme the Maison is running with this year: a two-toned effect in terms of the combination of materials and/or metals and textures, featuring an alternation of satin-brushed and polished surfaces. Ergonomically designed to fit the contours of the wrist, this timepiece is finished off with a grey textured rubber strap. Oozing with edginess and character, what’s not to love? We aren’t usually Royal Oak fans, but this one right here, stole our heart.
This Southeast Asian edition of the Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon GMT is a Limited Edition of 20 pieces (as engraved on its caseback) available at Audemars Piguet boutiques in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
