One of the key trends that Prada seems to be doing this Fall is the Camouflage. Personally, I have never been a fan of anything that is camo, and imho, this should be strictly confined to the army barracks instead of spilling over into fashion. Camo is definitely more streetwear rather than luxe designer gear.
In comparison to Vuitton’s collaboration with Murakami on the Limited Monogramouflage line 2 years back, Prada’s interpretation of the camouflage print is slightly more muted. While Vuitton’s camo was more youthful and playful, Prada’s is more serious, but with a tinge of the biker-esque vibe, thanks to the studs. Not only do we see this camo trend on bags, which are available in both nylon and their signature Saffiano leather, but Prada also has a camouflage-printed shoe. Well, Prada might consider their take on this print military-chic, but I am definitely not in agreement. However, if you DO like these pieces, you can Pre-Order them via the links above.
