Gucci Blooms Collection for Cruise 2016
For Fall/Winter 15, Alessandro Michele’s debut collection featured the Blooms print against the GG Supreme — the interlocking double Gs of the Gucci monogram, on coated jacquard fabric. The Blooms print featured a hand-painted floral pattern made entirely of geraniums, a flower that was believed to bring luck to the wearer. For the Cruise 2016 collection, Michele abandons the GG Supreme, and replicates the same Blooms print on leather instead. While the FW15 edition seemed more casual, their leather counterparts from the Cruise 16 collection definitely exudes a more luxurious vibe.

As you know, since I ain’t a fan of anything monogrammed (if at all, except from a super rare occasion), I much prefer these ones even though they feel more Oriental-inspired due to the colours of the leather (dark green, dark red, and light peach). In fact, it would actually be very season-appropriate for the Lunar New Year festivities, don’t you think?
