Valentine’s Gift Ideas For Her
Hearts Day is slightly over a week away! If you haven’t already bought something, you’re probably scurrying around trying to find the perfect gift. To make shopping a little less stressful for you, I’ve curated some gift ideas right here, so let’s get started!
Beginning from the top left of the image, we have the furry heart key fob cum bag charm by Tory Burch. Take a walk in any mall and you’d notice at least 70% of the ladies with bag charms dangling from their bags. Whether pom-poms or little creatures, more often than not, these are of the fluffy variety. If she doesn’t have one of these, perhaps you could get one of these for her? If she already has a bag charm, then you could always add another to her collection!
Miu Miu comes up with a capsule collection for Valentine’s Day. This year, it’s a heart-themed collection, which they’ve called, L’amour. The long zip-around wallet has the heart motif against white polka dots on black madras leather. Ya’ll know that I’m big on illustrations, and I love that this year’s print takes on this approach, with a red outline and “stem” that emerges from the bottom of the heart, transforming it into a heart-shaped balloon! So adorable, no?
And then, we have something that you all would’ve probably already recognised instantly: the Tiffany & Co Return To Tiffany necklace. More recently, the jeweller has introduced the Color Splash edition, with the splosh of enamel in Tiffany Blue at the bottom. Giving off the impression as if it accidentally fell into some tiffany blue paint, this variation certainly adds a more fun and artsy flair to the classic version.
Next, how about another keyfob? But this time, unlike the Tory Burch one above, this comes as a pair. This Miu Miu key fob duo comes in red enamel with a golden arrow on which “For” and “Ever” is engraved onto each half. You’re meant to keep one half of the heart, and give the other half to your significant other so when you join them up, the two halves form a complete heart. I’m guessing that this was probably inspired by those “Best Friends” or “Friends Forever” necklaces, bracelets, and keyrings that were popular in the mid- to late- 1990s. Ahh memories… I’ve also noticed that this trend has experienced a recent resurgence, especially in the past few years.
Of course, no gifting guide right here on Bag Addicts Anonymous is complete without a handbag! I’ve included Dior‘s Mini Lady Dior in soft calfskin, embroidered with pearls and threads from the Spring/Summer 18 collection of Niki de Saint Phalle‘s artwork featuring the map of her Tarot Garden. Loving how the gold hardware really makes the bag pop. This runway piece also comes with a detachable gold jewellery chain which you can have the option of removing, if you want a more elegant, evening-friendly look.
Last, but certainly not the least, is this simple and yet elegant, Tiffany Keys Wire Bracelet in 18 karat yellow gold. Not only could this be the key to her heart, but also she’s sure to melt when she sees this packaged in in that pretty blue box and tied up with that white bow! Too much jewellery? Said no one, ever! 😉
