Stella McCartney has partnered with British rubber bootmakers Hunter, a brand renowned for their rain boots a.k.a. Wellingtons, on a trio of rubber boots that we first caught a glimpse of them on her Fall/Winter 19 runway.

Stella McCartney has always been known as an eco-warrior – all of her creations are 100% vegan – and this partnership is no exception. Her take on the Hunter boot is probably the most eco-friendly boot out there ever made to date, with rubber sourced from certified, sustainably-managed forests in Guatemala, which means that no trees were harmed (or deforested) in the process … and it doesn’t stop here. The stretchy inserts are also made from a plant-based alternative used as a neoprene substitute, known as Yulex™, a material that’s made without petrochemicals, and sourced from the same Guatemalan forests. Yet, it possesses the same elasticity as neoprene.

The boots are unisex, and come in three colours: black, grey, and green (above).
