Loewe takes inspiration from men’s footwear with the latest women’s Wedge Loafer Boot from the Fall/Winter 2021 collection. No surprises here, as what was perceived traditionally as men’s shoes, have been incorporated into women’s footwear for approximately well over  a decade now, the most popular of which include Oxfords, Loafers, Moccasins, Brogues, and Smoking Slippers, and the Wedge Loafer Boot, is no exception.

For this hybrid shoe-boot, Creative Director Jonathan Anderson played with exaggerated proportions of a loafer-styled silhouette that’s almost clogs-like, complete with a chunky padded-effect wedge heel and Loewe’s signature sock detail with a zipped closure at the back. From afar,  it seems as if 0ne is wearing a loafer with socks, rather than the boot that it actually is. Despite its clunky and rather stiff appearance, the shoe is incredibly lightweight. Featuring a croc-embossed leather upper and contrasting smooth calfskin “sock”, the Wedge Loafer Boot comes in black, white, tan, dark brown, and yellow, as well as a micro-studded version if you’re looking for something edgier.
