Ever since Daniel Lee took over, he has transformed Bottega Veneta‘s signature intrecciato weave into a maxi (and sometimes puffy) style, and yep, this applies to the shoes too!  Since the regular intrecciato slides were so popular, Lee has introduced the maxi-weave version for Pre-Spring 2020.

Known as the BV Lido, made from hand-woven Nappa leather, sports the new supersized weave for a more three-dimensional effect that looks rather bulbous (intentionally, of course!) and gives it a cartoon-esque appearance, in terms of its proportions. Available in both flat or heeled styles (see top image), the BV Lido comes in naturals, black, white, and Cipria nude pink, along with happy spring-ready colours like blue, bright red, and indigo purple, which happens to be my favourite. Yep, we all thought slides were gonna be a summer trend, but nuh-uh, they aren’t going anywhere – not anytime soon, anyway!
