Balenciaga has launched its latest sneaker: the Runner. With a collage-like design, you’d find an avant-garde approach to sneaker construction, with a cut-and-paste composition, raw edges, glue marks, showing seams, and a row of punched holes that circle its opening which functions as a superficial extension of its shoelace row holes – all of which, are intentional design elements, for that handmade and pre-worn effect. Made from technical fabrics such as mesh, nylon, and injection-moulded polyurethane, you’d find the Balenciaga logos stamped and embroidered on multiple areas in several sizes, along with a new Runner logo printed atop the mesh.

Oh and for all you Bieber fans out there, here he is, in the sneaker’s campaign.

The Runner sneaker is available in burgundy, white and black at Balenciaga boutiques globally and on the official website, as well as the Kith boutique in Los Angeles (yes, that same one with the amazing ice cream!). Drop 2 will feature the Runner in pink and blue.
