Fall 2017 Must-Have: Dior’s Dioramour Pumps
It’s Toosday-Shoesday, and today, I’m sharing one of my Fall 2017 must-haves. I know bags are more my thing, but the thing is, I’m slowly beginning to appreciate shoes more these days. Okay, who am I kidding? Shoes have also become my jam these days, because well, I think I’ve bought more pairs of shoes in the last 6 months in comparison to bags, so I guess you’ll also be seeing more content to do with shoes, alongside the bags that you’re already seeing here on the site.
Anyway, we first saw these Dioramour pumps on the Fall/Winter 2017 runway and I’ve been eyeing them ever since. A couple of friends too, have been wanting to get their hands on these black suede pumps a big red leather heart at the back. Such a cute whimsical but yet elegant touch, don’t you think? If you haven’t already noticed, the heel is also slightly curved and angled inwards, and for this Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri took inspiration from the “Talon Choc” heel, which first appeared on the Maison’s shoes in 1959.
Now, enjoy these videos below, especially the last one at the bottom, which takes you through the Savoir-Faire where you can see how the shoes are made from the initial sketches, to the shaping of the lasts (that’s the mould for the shoes) right up to the finished product! 😉 Enjoy!
