Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012!!

Since it’s the last day of 2011, it’s time to look back at the year… Be prepared for a slightly more personal post, lol.

This year was certainly an eventful one, and yes, on another level, pun intended. My fashion calendar has certainly been quite filled up this year, with numerous events to attend — trunk shows, store openings, press previews, and the list goes on.

However, perhaps the biggest milestone that I have achieved this year as a blogger, is definitely attending my first ever Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012 show in September! For those of you who have been following my blog and my tweets (@bagaddictsanon), you’d know that I was recently at Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2012 show at London Fashion Week. Thanks again to Burberry for that amazing opportunity! In addition to that, being approved and given “International Blogger” status by the London Fashion Week organizers was yet another milestone! Although I would have loved to pop over to Milan Fashion Week as well to the Bottega Veneta and Gucci shows, I have a day job, and therefore, couldn’t take too much time off work, so London was the only time that could fit into my schedule. But that’s okay, there’s always time to do so in 2012 yes? And yes, I’d definitely get more time off in 2012 because I’ll plan to go back to student life to pursue my PhD =) — all it needs is some tweaking in my schedule and I shall be good to go! *fingers crossed*

That aside, I’ve met some amazing new people this year, and have developed some friendships with old friends which I wasn’t close to in the past. I’ve also found out who my true friends are, and also some fake friends who never wanted to give me the time of day in the past, and magically started getting chummy with me after finding out about London Fashion Week. Warning bells: Definite fake friends alert, but such are the harsh realities of life.
