Event Post: Tory Burch Store Launch @ Pavilion KL
Located at Pavilion KL’s new annexe at the Couture Pavilion – that’s the corridor between Céline and Tod’s, Tory Burch had its grand opening party on Tuesday, September 23rd. The concept behind the store was that of a cozy apartment, and that certainly came through upon entry into the store. Separated into “rooms” connected by “archways” with SLGs and fragrances on the wall shelves to catch your eye on the way to the next section, which focuses on different products. The tripartite store houses Ready-to-Wear and jewellery in the middle, bags on the right, and shoes to the left. With the gold accents and shelves against the textured fabric walls, there was a sense of relaxed luxury that wasn’t OTT.
As for every fashion event, mingling and schmoozing were part of the package. So that’s what we all did before the fashion presentation began at 8:30, and of course, Veuve Clicquot, a variety of canapés and dessert treats from TWG and Godiva accompanied our catch-up sessions, with the DJ spinning away. And of course, there’s the customised photo prints too!
I also took this time to browse the latest Fall/Winter 14 collection in the store.

Tory’s EDP which we got a sample size of. I usually stick to Daisy by Marc Jacobs, but I loved this scent! |
Yup, you read that right! Tory Burch jewellery that’s part of the “Malaysia Special Collection”, meaning that it’s exclusive available in Malaysia and nowhere else! Only 2 pieces of each available, these costume jewellery pieces are a combination of pearls, Swarovski crystals, and brass. And for those of you who follow me on Instagram, you’d already know that I’m lusting for the bracelets which look more like cuffs once you put them on.
At 8:30, Elaine Daly, the emcee for the night, welcomed all of us to the event, with the ribbon cutting ceremony and fashion presentation to follow.
I WANT THAT DRESS ON THE LEFT! My favourite look from the entire presentation |
Once the presentation was over, I hung out for a little while more, finally got a chance to get my photo printed (the queue was insanely long!), only to find out (after numerous attempts, no less!) that my email address had too many characters so the system couldn’t recognise it. Thankfully, it wasn’t a solo photo of myself, and they allowed duplicate prints! Phew!
