Dior Men Newspaper Print Capsule for Spring/Summer 2020

Back in 2000, John Galliano made headlines for creating headlines of his own – a newspaper print which he created for the Spring/Summer Haute Couture show. That same year, he also carried this print, which he had  christened the The Christian Dior Daily, right into Dior‘s Fall 2000 collection.

Fast forward to 2020, and Kim Jones has brought a reworked version of this iconic Newspaper print over to the Men’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection, developed in collaboration with one of my favourite contemporary artists, Daniel Arsham. This time around, the slightly washed out newspaper print features press releases written by the founder Monsieur Christian Dior himself, as well as the inscription “Collection Été 3020”, which is Arsham’s way of predicting the future, if you will. In this collection, the standouts are the nylon organza jacket, socks, and a “newspaper” iteration of the Saddle bag, which, as we know, has already become a staple of the Men’s collection.

My fave from the collection would definitely have to be the sneakers. In fact, I’m rather lusting over them for myself, because they’re totally unisex, much like a lot of Jones’s other creations for the Men’s line, don’t you think?
