Laser-cut Damier motif tote

Much like Vuitton’s SS13 Women’s collection by Marc Jacobs, the key motif for next year’s Men’s SS collection is also the Damier check in myriad of variations: oversized, embossed onto metal (the tech cases), regular (but this time on leather), and even laser cut.  With a palette such as burnt orange, grey and several shades of beige and greige, this season’s theme is perfectly suited for the “Man on the Go”. Whether they were backpacks, totes or Duffels, Kim Jones, Creative Director for Vuitton’s Men’s collection, had one thing in mind – that they should be oversized – thus making them the perfect travel companions for work travels, especially as carry-on luggage. Waistpouches were also being used as clutches.

My favourites from this collection are the pieces that are the most unisex: the laser-cut Damier tote which would not just be great for travelling or as a secondary bag for work to stow our documents and laptop and what-have-yous, but also for the beach! Oh, and while I might not be a tech geek, I adore the metal Damier-embossed iPad cases! Which are YOUR faves?
