Dior x Stussy Limited Edition Surfboard

Those of us who grew up in the 90s are well aware of the streetwear brand, Stussy. Brands such as Stussy, Hot Tuna, No Fear,  and the likes, were probably the OG streetwear brands, even way before street style became trendy. Now, Dior has collaborated with the originator and founder of the brand, Shawn Stussy, on a Limited Edition Capsule, and today, we feature something noteworthy from the Capsule: the Dior x Stussy Surfboard.

Shawn Stussy is one of my great heroes. He started out as a surfer, making his own boards and painted his name on them. It was quite natural for me to ask him to work together on the very first Dior surfboard that it’s quite amazing! ~ Kim Jones, Artistic Director of Dior Men’s Collections ~

The surfboard, presented as part of the Fall 2020 Dior Men’s show in Miami, is decorated with the DIOR signature as well as Stussy’s take on the Maison’s iconic house codes including the bee, and the Dior grey and ice blue board. The result is a rather hypnotic, and almost graffiti-esque design, with an all over “DIOR” motif, in different illustrated font styles. For this collaboration, the board is fitted with a special fin that eases drive in the most powerful waves. Finished by Url workshop in La Rochelle, France, each surfboard, limited to 100 numbered pieces, requires 72 hours to create.
