Van Cleef & Arpels Expands Its Perlée Collection
With its tiny golden beads around its edges, the Van Cleef & Arpels Perlée, one of the brand’s signature collections which made its debut in 2008, is no stranger to us. This year, the Maison has expanded the collection, with the introduction of the Perlée sweet clovers, this time, integrating both its distinctive golden beads, as well as its lucky clovers, formed by 4 round, brilliant-cut diamonds, with a tiny golden bead at its centre. With meticulous attention to detail, the gold beads are worked one by one, onto the gold, and then hand-polished in a sequence of steps until perfectly smooth surface is achieved, with diamonds that are of D to F in colour, and IF to VVS for clarity.
6 new pieces join the Perlée family: a ring and a bracelet in 18k yellow, white, or rose gold, with 10 delicate “sweet” clover motifs, and 5 motifs, on the bracelet and ring, respectively. Wear each on its own, stack them up on your wrist or fingers, or mix and match with the other pieces from the collection. Whichever you prefer, these elegant pieces are subtle enough for a little bit of sparkle for daily wear, without being too OTT. That said, this Perlée Sweet Clovers has definitely got to be our favourite, along with the Perlée Diamonds. 😉
