Jaeger-LeCoultre’s High Jewellery Watches In Conjunction With the Venice Film Festival
Jaeger-LeCoultre has once again partnered with the Venice International Film Festival. In fact, it’s the 12th consecutive year of their collaboration. To commemorate this momentous occasion, and as a tribute to the cinematic, JLC has unveiled their latest high jewellery timepieces. A total of 3 models were launched for this special occasion: The Reverso One High Jewellery, Rendez-vous Moon, and Rendez-vous Secret.
The Reverso One High Jewellery comes in two variations so you can choose between either a White, or Black face. Taking inspiration from the first ladies Reverso watches of the 1930s, the perimeter of this dress watch is encased in baguette-cut diamonds on both the front and the reverse side of this piece, with a rays of sunshine motif on the back, also done up in baguette diamonds.

Taking inspiration from an archival 1960s JLC model, the Rendez-Vous Secret comes in white gold, with a floral mother-of-pearl motif on the face when open. When the flip-top is closed, it looks as if you have a sparkly bracelet on your wrist, and no one would even be able to tell that you’re wearing a watch. The cover and bezel of the watch is adorned with, brilliant-cut rubies, pink sapphires with a total carat weight of 0.965, and 196 marquise-cut diamonds totalling 11.1 carats.
Last but certainly not the least, the Rendez-Vous Moon comes with a mother-of-pearl crescent moon positioned at 6 o’clock. The Grand Feu and paillonné enamel dial replicates a starry night that is achieved with hand-scattered minuscule chips of silver (those confetti-like things you see on the watch’s face), with brilliant-cut diamonds surrounding the bezel and on the crown. A midsummer night’s dream this definitely is.
My favourite would definitely have to be the Rendez-Vous Moon because it’s simple, elegant, and not too OTT! Which is yours?
