Cartier’s New Juste Un Clou Bracelet

I was super excited when I learnt that Cartier has just introduced a new addition to my most favourite collections when it comes to their jewellery collections, the Juste Un Clou. More popularly referred to and known as the “nail collection”, it’s amazing how the first ever Juste Un Clou bracelet, first designed in New York in the 1970s, can be resurrected from the archives ands still look as relevant, modern and contemporary, today.

Ever since its reintroduction in 2012, there wasn’t a ring, bracelet, or cuff from the collection that I’ve met and haven’t liked. For those of you who know me personally, ya’ll know that I absolutely love chunky jewellery, and designs such as this, along with studs, or anything industrial looking as well, are totally my jam. I guess this is also why I was lusting over Cartier’s Ecrou collection which made its debut last year even though its dubbed as something more masculine. But though I love my chunky jewellery, ever since I started having issues with my back, shoulders and neck (*groans*), I’ve had to give up my chunky statement necklaces which honestly were far too heavy to begin with anyway, and learn to love daintier jewellery.

I’ve had no complaints with the Juste Un Clou bracelets, but I do know that some of you have mentioned to me that you find them a little too chunky, and wished they were a little less so. Well, guess what – the Cartier fairies have answered your prayers and hit the nail right on its head (haha, see what I did there?)! The new Juste Un Clou bracelet joins the slimmer Love Bracelet family that was introduced in late-2016, with a slimmer and more flexible version in both pink and yellow gold. You can wear them on its own, or stack them with the original to create the perfect #armswag.

Oh, and for those of you fashionable men out there reading this, did I mention it’s totally unisex too?
