Cartier’s Latest Écrou de Cartier Jewellery Collection

I’ve been a fan of Cartier‘s Juste Un Clou (the nail collection) ever since its launch, and for those of you who know me personally, you’d certainly agree (if you haven’t already) that there’s just something about it that’s so ME. Cartier debuted its latest collection, Écrou de Cartier,  at an exhibition during the recent Salone del Mobile in Milan. Inspired by nuts and bolts, what the exhibition tagline “When the Ordinary Becomes Precious” literally hit the nail on its head (yes, pun intended) because all of these are otherwise ordinary items found in most toolboxes, and most of the time, even when in use, they’re somewhat invisible because they are embedded into objects with the purpose of holding everything together. Cartier certainly elevated these seemingly ‘regular spare parts’ and made it “precious, thanks to the Maison’s use of precious metals such as 18karat white gold, rose gold, and yellow gold. That said, I really think that Écrou is the perfect complementary accessory to the Juste un Clou. So chic, no? Major LOVE.

Although slated to hit stores next month, don’t get too excited just yet, because only certain countries would be able to see it in their local boutiques in May. For those of us in Malaysia, Écrou will only be available in 2018.
