Louis Vuitton’s Debuts New #MakeaPromise Bracelet by Virgil Abloh
Louis Vuitton first debuted its #MakeaPromise Campaign in partnership with UNICEF in 2016, with a silver Lockit padlock which was first invented by Georges Vuitton in 1890, as on a bracelet as a symbol of protection. Having nearly raised US 10 Million, for humanitarian support for children, this year marks the 4th consecutive year of their collaboration
For the 2020 edition of the #MakeaPromise bracelet designed by Virgil Abloh, you’d notice 2 chain links on which the sterling silver Lockit is fastened onto – a key detail from Vuitton’s SS20 Men’s collection – which are threaded through an adjustable cord, complete with the LV circle charm dangling off the cord on its underside. Available in neon orange, black, celadon (green) and blue with yellow micro polka dots, each of these Silver Lockit x Virgil Abloh bracelets is a Limited Edition piece. And, in the spirit of philanthropy, US$100 from the sale of each bracelet will go to UNICEF.
