Louis Vuitton first began its partnership with UNICEF in 2016 with its #MAKEAPROMISE campaign. This charity initiative had 2 main aims: to raise awareness for children who are exposed to conflict, wars, natural disasters, violence; and to raise funds for these children.

As a symbol of protection, Vuitton chose the Lockit, the unpickable lock created by Georges Vuitton. The debut 2016 edition the introduction of the silver Lockit necklace and bracelet, and earlier this year, the Maison added the Lockit bracelet in 5 different flourescent colours . And for World Children’s Day last week (November 20th), Vuitton launched a new silver Lockit bracelet designed by British actress Sophie Turner, who plays the character Sansa Turk, in Game of Thrones.

The Sophie Turner edition features the sterling silver padlock on a red-and-white braided cord, with a bunny engraved onto a circular charm on underside of the bracelet, which, incidentally, is the actress’s most recent tattoo.

As Christmas, also known as the season of giving, is just around the corner, perhaps you may want to consider helping a child in need, because €100 will be donated to UNICEF for the sale of each bracelet. A little philanthropy goes a long way.
