Valentino: Master of Couture at Somerset House, London

Valentino himself might not be designing for Maison Valentino anymore, but the Exhibit entitled “Valentino: Master of Couture” has recently opened in London’s Somerset House, home of the British Fashion Council.

Essentially a homage to Valentino himself, the retrospective, as its title suggests, is a focus on his famous Red Carpet dresses as well as his creative process. The exhibit also showcases sketches from the designer’s personal archives along with photographic shots of the man himself alongside his muse supermodel Natalia Vodianova.

Now here’s a video on how the exhibit was put together

And the designer himself speaking about the exhibit:

Ah it’s so amazing! How I wish I was in London right now!! Whether you live in London or if you’re gonna be holidaying there sometime soon, you HAVE to see this exhibit! The amazing retrospective ends 3rd March 2013
