Prada Spring Summer 18 Womenswear Ad Campaign
Prada‘s Spring/Summer 2018 Advertising Campaign, entitled Black Nylon, goes back to its very roots, and pays tribute to this traditionally industrial material, first used in 1984, on the now iconic backpack. Super durable, tear-proof, nylon naturally repels water, and inspired by workwear, and the military. Nylon has since become fundamental to Prada’s DNA, and through this SS18 campaign, shot by Willy Vanderperre, the material has become something that is conceived as a new classic, reimagined in several ways; not just through the bags, but also in terms of the clothes. Shot in Los Angeles, the campaign stars Gisèle Fox, Kris Grikaite, Imari Karanja, Line Kaergaard, Fran Summers, Anok Yai, and Alyssa Traore.
No prizes for guessing my favourite item featured in the campaign, because it ain’t that hard to guess, especially when there are studs involved 😉
