Newsflash: Manolo Blahnik Opens in Pavilion KL!
Pavilion KL is turning into quite the shoe lover’s paradise innit? First there was Roger Vivier, and now, Manolo Blahnik has just opened! Located at Level 2, the boutique, designed more like a shoe salon, spans 100 square metres! Designed by Nick Leith-Smith Architecture + Design, and each with its own unique concept, the KL store has an artful use of bamboo which meanders around the store, giving us the impression of the creation of separate sections, within the boutique.
This bamboo concept comes from the natural beauty of Malaysia, whose architecture practice was drawn to bamboo as a locally sourced material used widely in furniture and traditional architecture. But it’s not all bamboo. Highly-polished herringbone-patterned marble floors, high ceilings, brass pendant feature lights, and gilded gold shelves.
Oh and if you’re one who prefers some privacy, there are also 2 private spaces fitted with fabric lined walls (see the circular ‘room’ in the above photo 😉 ). As for me, I still can’t get over how luxurious the store looks.
Manolo Blahnik is located at Level 2, Pavilion KL, opposite Pandora.
