2 days ago in this post, you saw the Melissa x Jeremy Scott announcement where the shoes,  slated for release as part of the Spring/Summer 16 collection, would be showcased on during Scott’s runway show at New York Fashion Week. Now, here are the products, up close!

As I was looking at the backstage photos, I was kinda wondering, apart from the vibrant colours, how these shoes even remotely resembled the inflatable pool toys that Scott had wanted them to look like.. And then, I saw it: that circular plastic part with the stopper through which air gets inserted, that’s typically found on all of these aforementioned pool companions.

The Melissa x Jeremy Scott is already available for purchase at all Melissa “Galeria” stores throughout New York, London, and Sao Paolo including multi-label luxury retailers such as Colette in Paris, 10 Corso Como in Milan, and Alchemist in Miami.

To be honest, I actually expected the quirky prints and cartoon illustrations that the designer is known for, and would’ve preferred it that way. What about you?
