Hermès selects a theme on which they focus annually, and for 2013, it’s Sports. And if you remember, the luxury brand has already kicked off its sports theme with their Series of Sporting Videos featuring their bags, tableware and even men’s ties. Continuing on with the same theme, Hermès will release a brilliant coffee-table book called A Sporting Life, featuring the photography of Jacques Henri Lartigue.

For the first time ever, the brand has collaborated with the sportsman-turned-photographer to provide an insight into his work. The book chronicles Lartigue’s work into sections that are organised thematically such as: the sportsman, life in the great outdoors, training, sport and family life, and the advent of large public sporting events.

A Sporting Life will be officially launched on April 12 during the Saut Hermès event that will also feature an exhibition of some of Lartigue’s works from the book. Available in English and French, it will be on sale in Actes Sud affiliated bookstores. Click Here for more info
