FIRST LOOK at Dior’s Haute Couture SS16

Dior’s Spring/Summer 16 Haute Couture is a collection that revolves around a relaxed Parisienne spirit, but, as with any Couture collection, the focus is all in the details. Clothes are worn in a new way, with freestyle volumes, and the iconic Bar jacket has been reinterpreted in yet another way and knits stitched in such a way that is made to look like lace. Super feminine, this collection features beaded insect details, beautiful relating, leopard prints, and florals. Most of the looks are accented with jewellery worn in unique ways, earrings dangling from only one ear, necklaces layered around the ankle, from which good luck charms dangle paying tribute to the superstitious Monsieur Dior. In short, it is the epitome of modern Haute Couture.
