Gucci x Dover Street Market Global Collaboration

Gucci has announced their collaboration with Dover Street Market to launch Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s first collections for the brand – Fall/Winter 2015-16 and Cruise 2016. The collection will be available at all 4 Dover Street Market locations in Tokyo, New York, London, and Beijing through a dedicated Gucci store within DSM. The shop, which will house ready-to-wear and accessories, was inspired by the FW15 Gucci fashion show space, with concrete panels, old-rose pink carpets, a cherry-coloured armchair, and mannequins in green and ochre velvet, as shown in the image above.

Tokyo is the first to launch the collection over the weekend on July 25th, while the NY and London launches comes next on September 10th during New York Fashion Week and as a prelude to London Fashion Week, and lastly, the Beijing DSM store will debut Michele’s collection for Gucci during the Fall season.

According to Gucci President and CEO Marco Bizzari, the global collaboration was symbolic of Gucci’s new chapter, “which is emblematic of our new vision for Gucci”.

President of Dover Street Market, Adrian Joffe, was equally delighted with the partnership:

They have that wonderful combination of new and traditional as well as being conceptually authentic. We are very proud and honoured to be part of the Gucci revolution.
