Fashion history is certainly being made this season! From Burberry’s announcement of a seasonless collection that will be immediately available for purchase beginning September 2016 and Rebecca Minkoff’s #SeeBuyWear where she showcased her immediately shoppable Spring 2016 collection with just 16 additional looks for Fall/Winter 2016 instead of a complete FW16 line during NYFW over the weekend, Michael Kors too has jumped on this instantly purchasable bandwagon. Today, Kors is offering the FW16 edit, which he has termed Ready-to-Wear, Ready-to-Go. The FW16 collection will be available on the Official Website and the Madison Avenue Collection store in New York this afternoon at 12:30pm EST. Customers will also be able to pre-order items from the upcoming season during this one-day-exclusive event. Such is the nature of our insta-culture and insta-gratification that has the fashion industry is willing to rewrite history to appease consumers!  The plus point is that the designers now will be the first to bring the collection to the people (and rightly so!), rather than fast fashion giants who have been churning out merchandise inspired by these designers way ahead of the fashion season for which it was intended. First was the establishment opening its doors to bloggers,  then livestreaming shows and now this! I’m super excited to see the other changes the industry has in store for us!
