#PFW: Chloé’s Fall/Winter 2013 Runway & Bags Review!
Claire Waight Keller opted for a much more relaxed silhouette for Chloé’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection where coloured tweed, rubber leather bermuda shorts, pullovers in boyfriend shapes and a pentaloon-esque pant but not quite as well, which Keller dubbed as “the new romantic pant”. It’s no surprise then there was an element of boyishness to the collection but yet still very carefully balanced out because it didn’t overshadow the feminine vibe.
Here are some of my favourite looks from the Fall/Winter 2013 collection:
Loving the way the outerwear falls, and the striped flowy and swishy “New Romantic Pant” (below)
But of course my absolute favourite, was the look that closed the show. this spotted ruffled tulle skirt!
And the BAGS:
The Verdict: The designer’s inspirations were all about the “independent spirit, bike sheds, cold nights, night buses, bare legs (lots of it for Fall it seems!), flirting, and tough girls”. And what do these key words mean to you? It really does sounds as if Keller described university life, doesn’t it? Perhaps that’s why she went for boyish oxfords which were given a feminine touch with the chunky heel.
Since Keller was mentioned the above elements as her inspiration for the Fall/Winter 2013 season, it really is no surprise, then the designer kept with the theme and opted for roomy slightly oversized totes which could function as “book bags” which were toted in arm as well as on the shoulder, and small flat shoulder bags which she seemed to refer to as “satchels” even though they don’t really resemble one. While the bags were really nothing spectacular to me, it really is one of Keller’s better season for Chloé.
