#PFW: Chanel Fall/Winter 2012-13 Bags

The Chanel Set: Stalagmites and stalactites sprouting from the middle of the Fall/Winter 2012-13runway

Hm, are backpacks making a comeback? Well, whether or not they are, I’m not a fan. I’ve never been a fan of backpacks nor anything made of tweed.

The top bit of this clutch reminds me of a scroll.

The Verdict: I’m not a fan of the new hobo bags nor the backpacks. The Chanel Boy bag comes in smaller sizes, but this time in Velvet and bright jewel tones. Love the colours used, but not the velvet. But I really can’t say that I don’t exactly like this collection because there ARE some bags that I rather like, so I’m 50-50 with this Chanel collection. Not really on the fence, just that I don’t like the entire collection. That said, I think the clutch with the scroll-like detail on top is rather interesting, but the bags that I really ADORE are the evening minaudières that resonated with Chanel’s Fall/Winter 2012-13 set design, and yes, I’m talking about the stalactites and stalagmites. Don’t you think the clutches are really miniature versions of those rocks? And the floral bits on top (which I’m assuming is the clasp) are TO DIE FOR! Love! And in my opinion, much better than the beaded conch clutches from the Spring/Summer 2012 runway.
