Marc Jacobs Cruise 2013 Bags

For the longest time, stripes and nautical themes have been the signature motif for any Cruise/Resort season. And now, Marc Jacobs introduces spots too; teeny-tiny polka dots that is. And apparently, clowns were the inspiration behind the Cruise 2013 collection.

The Verdict: Resort/Cruise collections usually focus on the RTW while accessories take a backseat. That may be so, but I won’t comment on the clothes because that’s not what I do, and while I love the shoes, I really am not a fan of any of the bags at all.

Although Colour blocking seems to be more of a mainstay now rather than just a seasonal fad (it’s no secret that I’m a HUGE fan) the bags just lack that extra something. In fact, honestly, they don’t look luxe enough for Marc Jacobs’s main line. Whether the tubular clutches, or the day bags, they seem pretty out of character and would be much more at home in the younger, and more affordable Marc by Marc Jacobs line.
