London Fashion Week: Mulberry’s Autumn/Winter 2011 Presentation

Mulberry’s Autumn/Winter 2011 London Fashion Week presentation took place yesterday, September 20 at London’s Claridge’s Hotel. While last season (SS2011) was inspired by The Secret Garden, this season, Mulberry designer Emma Hill gets inspired by Roald Dahl’s Mr. Fantastic Fox.

The ballroom of Claridge’s was transformed into a countryside woodland complete with garden sheds and wooden benches. In the backdrop, there were gigantic toadstools, foxes, hedgehogs and squirrels and tree-filled birds. To top things off, models paraded on a wooden catwalk.

While waiting for the show to begin, the food and drink, too, fitted with the theme – quirky cupcakes and biscuits came in the shape of toadstools or gingerbread fox faces to tickle one’s palate, and juices such as Blackberry & Apple or Apple & Blueberry.

Without further ado, sit back, and watch the complete runway presentation below!

The quilted Alexa makes its debut this season!

Note: It’s best to watch within the frame above, as the quality isn’t that great if you watch it in fullscreen because I had to convert it from the original format as the filesize was too large. Apologies!!

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Mulberry for the invitation to the AW11 presentation in London. I wasn’t able to make it to London for the Mulberry show this season, however, I do hope to make it there next season! Thanks once again to the Mulberry Press Office for the invitation!
