#LFW: Mulberry’s Spring/Summer 2013 BAGS!
Mulberry’s SS13 show was held 2 days ago, on the last day of London Fashion Week. Mulberry is known to be very creative with their LFW invites (a giant key last season). For SS13, the invite came with watercolours, a paintbrush and a sketchbook, leaving editors and bloggers were left wondering what it meant because the stuff that comes with the invite usually serve as clues as to what’s in store for the season. Gnomes, geckos hanging from the trees on the runway set, and pastel-coloured rainbow cake at Mulberry’s SS13 show venue @ the Claridges Hotel ballroom made everyone wonder even more.
While waiting for the show to arrive, Olivia Palermo, Kate Moss, Lana Del Rey, and Alexa Chung were spotted FROW-ing. The show began after a 20 minute delay, floral brocade Alexas with models dressed in tops with matching prints opened Mulberry’s SS13 show.
The Del Rey bag, this time in gecko printed jacquard, as spotted on songstress Lana Del Rey at the FROW.
Now this, is possibly my favourite bag of all in the entire SS13 collection! Love the chain handles and the flower plaque with the Mulberry logo at its centre. Although in came in various other pastel shades as well as black and camel, the mint version below gets my vote!
Lastly, Mulberry’s latest shape for SS13, the “Willow” bag. A roomy tote with an envelope detailed front pocket and side zippers. Super cute for the office too. And again, mint is my favourite! 🙂
Now, did you see any on the runway that you liked? Which ones were they?
