Couture Collections: Armani Privé Fall 2012 Couture Collection Bags

The Verdict: Because it’s a Couture collection, it comes with the expectation that everything will be über-luxe, with intricate detailing, and Armani Privé certainly didn’t disappoint. Gone are the days that only a heavily hand-beaded handbag could be classified as Couture. Exotic crocodile skins were used for virtually every bag (or in this case the evening clutches) on the Armani Privé runway, and Swarovski-sprinkled details made them a tad more rock and roll, but yet, still glamorous. No surprises here because even the Runway collections for RTW shows are all about exotic skins anyway, what more a Couture collection?

Giorgio Armani is a genius when it comes to his no-frills approach to Couture. Not everything has to be stuffy, and all about frou-frou.
