Cara Delevingne Burberry Prorsum AW13 show

 I was stunned when I heard this piece of news: that supermodel of the moment Cara Delevingne (I mean WHICH show DIDN’T she walk for during London Fashion Week?!?) has registered her company in the UK under Cara & Co. but she also has trademarked her name with UK’s Intellectual Property office for the rights to put her name on everything from simple items like key rings to bags, perfumes, and er.. the mother of all shockers, umbrellas and walking sticks. I was seriously dumbfounded when I read this piece of information in British Vogue. I mean, I get that she wants something to earn a living from once her modelling career is over, and I commend her entrepreneurial efforts, but why walking sticks and umbrellas of all things?!? I was (and still am!) stumped by this decision. And I guess the photo below seems rather fitting in this context, now, doesn’t it?

It doesn’t just end there! Dubbed as “the new Kate Moss” by many, Cara certainly is one ambitious 20-year old. She has plans to delve into Editorial shoots and leave her runway career behind so that she has more time for a music career which she wants to kick-start soon! We’ve heard her sing a capella for to Katie Grand x Hogan AW13 Ad Campaign video and she’s got some mighty good pipes!

And there’s more! Cara mentioned in a Vogue video interview that her true passion lies in acting and convinces us that she’s pretty much ready for that role and career move because when she models, she acts! She gets into character and just walks because modelling is acting! And if you didn’t know, she had a small role in Anna Karenina!
