Two days ago, Hermès announced that the current Creative Director of Womenswear, Christophe Lemaire will be leaving the Maison after the upcoming Spring/Summer 2015 show. Today, we are told that Hermès has found a replacement! Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski has been revealed as the new Creative Director of Womenswear. The folks at Hermès sure work at lightning speed, don’t they? For never has the seat been filled so quickly especially in the game of fashion musical chairs.

36-year old Nadège Vanhee-Cybulksi holds a degree from the Acadèmie Royale des Beaux-Arts d’Anvers in Visual arts, fashion, costume and textile design, and has been a member of the design studio of Maison Martin Margiela (2005-2008) before joining Céline (2009-2011) and The Row (2011-March 2014). This will be her first Creative Designer position, and what an honour it is, for someone to start off in this role at Hermès! Autumn/Winter 2015 collection marks her first women’s ready-to-wear collection, which will be presented during Paris Fashion Week in March 2015.

Hermès CEO Axel Dumas says “We welcome the arrival of Nadège. Her talent and creative track record will be great assets in the continued development of women’s ready-to-wear. She will devote herself full-time to our house”.
