Giorgio Armani can now add another something to his string of credentials and accolades in his CV: Costume Designer for Lady Gaga. The man has designed a full set of costumes for Gaga’s upcoming “Born This Way Ball” Asian Tour. 

Gaultier’s Madonna costumes for her concert tours back in the day seems like child’s play when compared to Armani’s wacky cutting-edge tour wardrobe for Gaga. One thing’s for sure, you can expect lots of Swarovski jet crystals, spikes, lurex, fringe and plexiglas.

The world will get to see Armani’s Gaga costumes come to life on stage when the “Born This Way Ball” Asian Tour  kicks off in Seoul on September 27th. My favourite costume? The one with the musical instruments, though I can’t even begin to imagine how heavy this outfit will be.

Armani on his collaboration with Gaga: “[It’s] always an exciting experience for me. I admire the way she uses fashion as a scenic element and as a means to build a character … She is an artist of many talents and great intelligence. Creating stage costumes for her is a stimulating and creative exercise”

I’m sure Armani’s creative talents were pushed to the limits (and then some!) in coming up with something Gaga-worthy and “oh-so-Gaga” in character. In short, definitely a GOOD ROMANCE ;D
