Newsflash: Burberry To Go Fur-Free

Burberry takes a stand by joining Gucci, Versace, Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo, and Donna Karan in going fur-free. Yep, you’d have probably noticed that several pieces from the Brit label’s September 2017 and February 2018 collections had fur, but guess, what, it’s actually faux fur.

Although fur farming has been made illegal in the UK in 2000, the country still imports and sells animal furs from foxes, chinchillas, rabbits, and minks. Burberry’s fur-free move is timely, as this month sees the formation of the #FurFreeBritain coalition as government debates involving the banning of the sale of furs in the UK will begin in parliament tomorrow.
