In mid-November, we were told that Christopher Kane will start as Creative Director in January 2013. But guess what? Just 12 hours ago, WWD  has confirmed that it won’t be Kane, but Alexander Wang
 who will be taking over as Creative Director at Balenciaga next week.

Bag-wise, Alexander Wang remains as one of my favourite designers, so I, for one, couldn’t be more thrilled! I think Alexander Wang’s edgy vibe would do well with Balenciaga, and here I am hoping and praying that bigger studs will make a comeback on those Balenciaga bags because the current bags are just too “blah” for me sans giant studs because the Giant 12 really doesn’t look much bigger than the regular studs!

My verdict? Alex Wang and Balenciaga could just be a winning combo! What are YOUR thoughts?
