Hermes Collaborates With Hiroshi Sugimoto On Limited Edition Scarf Collection
Hermès has been known to collaborate with artists on their scarf collections, the most recent one being graffiti artist Kongo, which resulted in my favourite scarf motifs to date. This time around, Hermès has announced that they will be collaborating with Japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto on a limited edition scarf collection. This is part of their third edition of the Hermès Editeur project which is an intersection of fine arts with textiles.

Inspired by his “Colours of Shadow” photography project, the limited edition silk scarves will be exhibited at the Art Basel Contemporary Art Fair in June this year featuring 20 of his Polaroids that depict colour gradations (or ombré). According to WWD, only 7 of each design will be produced, which makes it truly LIMITED EDITIONS indeed.
