CFDA Awards 2011
The CFDA (that’s Council of Fashion Designers of America) Awards was held today. Hosted by the Gorgeous Anderson Cooper (who knew he used to be a Ford Model? — which explains why he’s still yummylicious even until today!), some of my FAVOURITE designers emerged as winners of the night.
Womenswear Designer of the Year: Proenza Schouler
Accessories Designer of the Year: Alexander Wang
Swarovski Award for Womenswear: Prabal Gurung
Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award (re-dubbed as the “Half-Lifetime Achievement Award” by Sofia Coppola): Marc Jacobs
The Media Award also goes to fashion journalist Hilary Alexander of the Telegraph. Alexander is set to retire this year. 
Style Icon Award: Lady Gaga , who came dressed in a turquoise wig with a studded bustier and 12-inch platforms. Anna Wintour congratulated Gaga via text and she replied “we did it bi*ch” thinking it was another Anna.
